PLANT THE CHANGE ™

A greener world is a better world.
That’s why we commit to plant 50 million trees around the world over the next 5 years.
Treedom is one of the partners we’ve teamed up with to bring this commitment to life.

THE TIMBERLAND FOREST

Together with Treedom we are creating the Timberland forest in the north region of the Daka River in Ghana as part of Africa’s “Great Green Wall” project. This is an urgent movement to grow a 8,000 km line of trees across the entire width of Africa to fight climate change, drought, famine, conflicts and migration.
Each of the 26,760 trees in the Timberland Forest will absorb an average of 1 ton of CO2 - equivalent to a car travelling 3,000km.

We’re planting a variety of tree species including Mango, Cashew, Acacia, Mahogany, Kapok and Neem.

Fruit trees will offer an important source of food and also income opportunities for the local communities.

Trees will help restore land along the Daka river. Improving soil fertility and biodiversity. They will also help fight soil erosion and increase soil water retention.

We’re training lead farmers from different communities in important natural resources management practices.
